Raggedy Fall Coasters

I love these coasters and they were very easy to make!
I made 6 of them using Moda Flannels  http://www.modafabrics.com/
Cut 12 squares of fabric 6 1/2 by 6 1/2.
Next cut your quilt batting I used Warm & Natural it's my favorite. 4 1/2 by 4 1/2.
I used 2 squares of batting on each one and they are real plump.
Place the quilt batting in between the fabric squares on each .
Now just make a big X , sewing from one corner to the other.
Sew a 1" border around each square, that keeps the raggedy part from crossing the stitching line.
Last cut slits around the entire outside of each coaster. Be careful not to cut into stitching line.
The smaller the cuts the more raggedy it will be.
Toss into the washer and then dryer and you will have raggedy coasters.

I love setting my coffee cup on mine and even soup bowls!

Oh My !

Has it really been since April , I cant imagine that it's really been that long really now WOW.
I have such good intentions and then the days turn into weeks and the weeks to months and so on and so on you know the routine.
I really want to be a good blogger and it's something I am really going to try harder to work on , I have so much to share I really do.
Okay so this will be my new start I promise.

Two Puppies and A Wedding

Well we did it !
Got our baby girl married, everything was absolutely beautiful and she told me over and over again it was the happiest day of her life! She had a glow about her the whole day through and was bubbling over with love! It is truly a wonderful thing to be young and in love there is nothing in life quite like that time in your life as a young woman. We love you both Brent & Tara
I learned alot myself through all this wedding stuff ,that little girls looove weddings and that life go's by so quickly you better savor every moment one day your getting married and the next thing you know you have grandkids and your wandering what happened to all the time in between? And one more thing, all that love was contagious and I thank every one who helped
from the bottom of my heart.


So we were going along getting ready for the wedding and Tara's dog had puppies on the first day of fall, they are adorable the mom is a west highland terrier and the dad a miniature schnauzer they are rapidly growing and getting cuter every day!

Here we are at Davids Bridal we had sooo much fun!
I will tell you she did get her dress, but your going to have to wait to see which one.
It brought tears to my eye's to see my baby girl standing there in a wedding dress she looked absolutely beautiful and we had a fabulous day. My sister went with us and so did Tara's BFF , after getting the dress we all went to http://www.texasroadhouse.com/ for lunch and celebration.

Spent the whole day singing!

Going to the chapel and were gunnin get mar rr ried goin to the chapel and were gunnin get marrrrried gee I really love you and were gunnin get married and well never be lonely anymore
because were going to the chapel of love yea yea yea!

I spent the whole day singing in preparation of our big wedding dress shopping event, I will be taking my camera along as my baby girl picks out her wedding dress I cant wait to show you the pic's first stop will be http://www.davidsbridal.com/ and we have been told to check out the http://www.laughingfish.com/ and of course we must go to http://www.michaels.com/ and http://www.hobbylobby.com/ to look at flowers and such.
